KOTA KINABALU: The new Government should embrace new governance system, one that focuses on crisis management, said Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Backbenchers Club Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.
“In times like these, our new Government should embrace a new governance system – one that focuses on crisis management. We must heed the advice of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to prioritise the wellbeing of the rakyat.
“Therefore, there is merit to consider forming a Crisis Cabinet to govern Malaysia until it is safe to hold the next election.
“This way, we can stay focused on what is important and hopefully get through all this together,” Salleh, who is Usukan Assemblyman, wrote in his Facebook account Thursday.
Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, was reported to have expressed hope that the Government will continue to implement more people well-being programmes.
Sultan Abdullah said he greatly appreciated the various efforts and bold steps that had been and would be taken by the Government to protect the safety and well-being of the people.-pr/BNN
