KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Energy Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (SEC) successfully organised its first-ever Integrity & Safety Day on 13 and 14 October 2025, a two-day programme dedicated to strengthening the company’s culture of integrity and promoting workplace safety across its operations.

The event was officiated by YBhg. Datuk Adzmir Abd Rahman, Group Chief Executive Officer of SEC, and attended by Tuan Haji Zulkifli bin Sulaiman, Director of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Sabah; Tuan Alexander S. Kunghi, Deputy Director of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM) Sabah; as well as representatives from NIOSH, BOMBA, and strategic partners including Rehabwork Physiotherapy and HB Safety.

Also present were representatives from SEC’s subsidiary and associated companies, Asian Supply Base (ASB) and SEC Gas Sdn. Bhd.

Day One of the programme focused on SEC employees through engagement sessions with SPRM and DOSH, integrity and safety pledges by SEC staff, and a fire drill exercise conducted by BOMBA.

The day also featured informational booths by SPRM, DOSH, PPE vendors, Rehabwork Physiotherapy, and other partners, offering hands-on exposure to safety best practices.

Day Two welcomed students from SM Stella Maris, Tanjung Aru, who participated in awareness sessions conducted by SPRM and NIOSH.

Concurrently, a blood donation drive and basic physiotherapy checks were held for SEC employees, subsidiaries, associated companies, and customers, while information booths provided practical insights into integrity and safety in everyday life.

The programme was coordinated by SEC’s Internal Audit, Integrity & Governance; Safety, Health & Environment; and Corporate Strategy divisions, together with SEC’s Kelab Sukan & Rekreasi, exemplifying the spirit of collaboration and shared purpose that drives the organisation’s success.
