KOTA KINABALU: Sabah is set to welcome an international humanitarian and tourism delegation as part of the Beauty With A Purpose Tour in Sabah 2026, a community and charitable initiative taking place from 4 to 10 February 2026.
One of the main events is a charitable visit to the Sekolah Kebangsaan Pendidikan Khas (SKPK) Kota Kinabalu in Tuaran on 5 February 2026 at 1.00 pm, aimed at providing support and encouragement to children with special needs, their families, and dedicated educators.
The visit will be graced by the presence of Mrs Julia Morley CBE, Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of the Miss World Organization; Dr Sean Wong, BBM, CEO of HyperLive Entertainment and Franchise Holder of Miss World Malaysia; Miss World 2025, Opal Suchata; and Miss World Malaysia 2025, Taanusiya Chetty.
The Beauty With A Purpose Tour is not merely an official visit but a mission focused on charity, community empowerment, and the promotion of international tourism, using the global Miss World platform to showcase Sabah as a destination filled with compassion, culture, and natural beauty.
During the tour, the delegation will participate in a variety of high-impact programmes, including visits to special schools, collaboration with the Sabah Autism Society, programmes at Likas Hospital to support children with cancer, engagement with rural and underprivileged communities, and the promotion of Sabah’s tourism and culture.
According to Dr Sean Wong, CEO of HyperLive Entertainment, “Beauty With A Purpose is more than a programme — it is a commitment. Sabah has an extraordinary society, culture, and natural beauty, and it deserves global recognition not only for its landscapes but also for its heart.”
Empowering Education for Children with Special Needs in Tuaran
The visit to SKPK Tuaran aims to inspire and encourage educators and caregivers of children with special needs. It also seeks to instil joy, confidence, and recognition among the children and their families, while raising public awareness of the importance of inclusive education and the value of compassion.
By focusing international attention on these children and educators, the mission is expected to foster long-term empathy, understanding, and community support.
In addition to emphasising humanitarian efforts, the tour also serves as a platform to promote Sabah internationally. Content from the visit will be shared via the Miss World platform, showcasing Sabah as a destination rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage.
The state is also recognised as a place renowned for its warmth, compassion, and social responsibility, and is open to various forms of international collaboration and meaningful tourism opportunities.-BNN
