KOTA KINABALU: Kota Kinabalu is set to host one of the most anticipated large-scale public events of the year as globally renowned speaker Mufti Ismail Menk will appear at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) on April 30, 2026 (Thursday), from 7.00pm onwards.

The event, “Mufti Menk Live in Sabah”, themed “Broken but Beloved”, is expected to attract thousands of attendees from across Sabah and beyond, positioning it among the most significant inspirational gatherings in the state this year.

With a global following in the millions, Mufti Menk is widely recognised for his ability to engage audiences across cultures and age groups through messages that are relatable, reflective and relevant to contemporary life.

His sessions often address personal challenges, emotional resilience, relationships and the pursuit of purpose, resonating strongly with youth, working professionals and families.

The programme will be graced by the presence of Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Datuk Seri Panglima (Dr.) Musa Haji Aman, Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah, dan Yang Amat Berbahagia Toh Puan Datin Seri Panglima Faridah Haji Tussin, alongside state leaders, corporate figures and members of the community.

The event is jointly organised by Glocal Link (M) Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd, Faith Events and Al Falah Team Solutions, bringing together experienced organisers in delivering large-scale programmes of international repertoire.

Organisers said the event is designed as a platform for community engagement and personal development, bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds in a shared space of reflection and positive growth.

Held at Sabah’s premier convention venue, the programme will feature a professionally curated experience supported by high-quality audio-visual production, with participation from strategic partners including Bidaura, MARA Corporation, Weststar Aviation, Sabah International Convention Centre, Abang Aminn Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd and Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu.

With the event scheduled to take place next week, organisers indicated that ticket demand has been strong, with seats expected to be taken up quickly.
