KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor said the
Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Barisan Nasional has finalised the seats distribution
for the 15th General Election.
“We will announce a few days before nomination day,” he said when met after attending
the Deepavali gathering hosted by the State Government together with the Sabah Indian
Chamber of Commerce (SICC) at Magellan Sutera here today.
On the pledge by BN chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi that a deputy prime
minister from Sabah will be appointed if the coalition won the general elections. Hajiji said
Sabah is all for it.
“We will find the most suitable leader. We definitely will support,” he said.
Meanwhile, nearly 1,000 people attended the colourful Deepavali gathering, the first after
the pandemic.
During the gathering, SICC President Datuk V. Jothi accompanied the Chief Minister to
present contribution of RM3,000 each to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Papar and
Sabah Society for the Blind.
Among those in attendance were Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri
Panglima Masidi Manjun, Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister
Datuk Ir Shahelmey Yahya as well as leaders from various political parties and
