KOTA KINABALU: Grudges and resentment are not the motivation for standing for the Kimanis Parliamentary seat under Party Warisan Sabah.
Datuk Karim Bujang said he joined Warisan as he agreed with the party’s missions and visions and he believed that the party leadership is capable of running the next Government.
He stressed that he did not join the party just because he wanted a platform to contest the Parliamentary seat but because he believed in their struggles.
According to him, he was not motivated by the need to prove his mettle, nor was he interested in redressing a perceived past contention.
The Ex-Sabah BN secretary said he was merely responding to the call of the people in that constituency for him to contest and lead them once more.
“I do not bear any grudges against BN’s Datuk Anifah Aman and my feelings for him and whatever had transpired are neutral.”
Karim was the State Assemblyman of Bongawan, winning the seat under Usno in 1990 and retaining it until 2013. Bongawan and Membakut are under the electorate of Kimanis.-BNN
