KOTA KINABALU: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU) Sabah Coordinator, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, received membership application forms from the Tuaran Dusun Lotud community during the Majlis Mesra BERSATU P.170 Tuaran held at Tuaran Dusun Smoke House, yesterday.
The membership forms were submitted by a group led by Louis Lidong and Alidin Aning.
Hajiji, who is also Sulaman Assemblyman, in his speech welcomed the participation and support from the Sabah indigenous community towards the BERSATU struggles.
He said BERSATU Sabah, which was launched by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on April 6, will do a tour throughout the State to disseminate information on the struggles of the party.
According to him, BERSATU has received an extraordinary response from the people of Sabah since it was launched.
“I was made to understand there are many who want to join BERSATU. Apart from having successfully received over 120,000 members during its launching day, BERSATU headquarters will re-supply 100,000 membership application forms for Sabah,” he added.
Also present at the event is STAR Deputy President, Edward Linggu, and local community leaders especially of the Dusun Lotud community. -pr/BNN
