他呼吁沙州112万合格选民，包括占约15%的华裔选民们踊跃投票，并对这场攸关州与国政治最新格局的选举，以手中一票来反映民主和民意基础。
他也预测，这场创下多项空前记录的第16届沙州选举，整体投票率将比两年前第14届（509）全国大选时的69%增加，至少会超过70%以上，主要是出现了最多政党、最多议席、最多候选人、最多多角战和最多独立人士，以及最激烈选情的主观和客观因素。
他也呼吁介于15到20万（占约18%）在外州或邻国的沙州选民能够回乡投票，履行公民义务并决定沙州的未来。
吴添泉也是沙巴中华大会堂总会长，他今天在文告中呼吁112万名合格选民积极响应州选，并善用手中一票投选出一个多元、中庸、亲民和民主的州政权，让这个由约42个族群组的和谐州属，继续亲善而精彩。
他希望朝野双方，都能够秉承和贯彻公平公正选举的民主法则，而支持者们也能够理性自律，确保选举在公平公正与和谐有序中进行，让选民作出明智选择，以确保州政权在顺利下产生。
他也深信，包括华裔同胞在内的沙州人民，拥有足够的智慧来作出明智抉择，让沙州的未来继续呈献多元和百花齐放，各族人民继续和谐共处与安居乐业。
另一方面，他说，不断升温的选情，加上不断增加的冠病新感染群体和确诊病例，让本届沙州选举充满了极大挑战，除了军警和选举委员会人手，卫生部从西马增派卫生官和医护人员前来协助的安排是让人欣慰的，但在激烈的政治角力接触中，如何抵挡见不到的病毒，已是当前最大关键和标准作业程序！
“随着政治人物和前来的助选人员确诊后，疫情对选情所带来的冲击已经出现，紧接着下来的投票过程，涉及的是总动员，各造都有绝对必要给予配合，确保全面遵守标准作业程序下投票、计票和公布成绩等，我们并不希望见到沙州内的疫情因为选举而升温加剧！”
针对沙巴警方表示日前接获情报，指大批来自邻国的非法入境者企图在投票日当天制造混乱的课题，吴添泉深信警方会认真看待并有能力采取一系列未雨绸缪的国防措施，尤其是在被鉴定的可能涉及地区如斗湖、山打根、哥打马鲁都、吧巴及根地咬等加强军警巡逻执法，以确保国安及选举进程顺利完成。
