（吉隆坡1日讯）华总会长丹斯里吴添泉认为，国家元首苏丹阿都拉陛下是根据宪法和君主立宪制度的酌情权下委任国家首相，应获尊重和接受。
针对丹斯里慕尤丁被委为第八任首相，他说，陛下在作出决定和委任前，先后“面试”全体国会议员和召见朝野领导人、政府行政长官、司法和军警首长以及召开全国统治者会议的作法，显示出身为国家最高统治者对这次国家政治动荡所抱持的民意收集与聆听，高度谨慎、开明与民主的英明施政风范。
他说，这些都是史无前例的，全民应该了解、体会与尊重陛下及各州统治者在处理这次中央政局所持的中立、透明与民主的立场。
“过程中，朝野领导人都获得陛下亲自觐见，也都异口同声对陛下的处理和决定深具信心和尊重，同个基础下，人民也应该尊重这项决定。”
吴添泉今天针对国家政局课题，受到媒体提问而通过文告方式作出回应时表明，我国是一个民主法治国家，一切都必须以民主民意的基础为最大依归。
他说，在政局上的任何不满、争议和行动，也可以同样通过民主法治进程，根据司法和依循宪法，以理性方式寻求化解。
他呼吁华社应冷静和理性看待国家政局的演变和最新进展，不论今天或是未来如何一变再变或重新洗牌都好，希望国家的民主进程能够越走越宽，越来越民主。
“尽管政局波谲云诡，瞬息万变，一切须根据国家民主制度，遵守宪法行事。”
他重申，建国以来，我国拥有足够完善法治、民主和君主宪制处理问题，包括之前出现的州和中央政权更迭或改朝换代在内，尽管过程争议难免，但最终都能够在全民共识下以民主和平方式化解。
他强调，华社与华团应该继续高度关切国家今天和未来的政局进展，不应置身事外。-pr/BNN
