More members for BERSATU

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s (Bersatu) membership in Sabah was augmented by 20,080 after several local leaders and  presented their applications to the  Party secretary-general Datuk Hamzah Zainudin at a leading hotel here today.

With the new applications, BERSATU’s membership stands at 105,385 in the State. The application of membership forms was presented after a closed door meeting was concluded.

Meanwhile, Hamzah said that they would be fielding candidates that are not only ‘winable’ but also candidates  of caliber and integrity from political parties that wanted to work together with BERSATU and the Federal Government.

On who would be fielded to contest in certain areas, he said they had not decided on who would be contesting in which areas, adding that the most important for them was to get back the government on behalf of the rakyat.

On who would become the Chief Minister of the State, Hamzah said, they had their own representative in Datuk Hajiji Haji Noor the Sabah BERSATU chief who would hold a discussion with other leaders from UMNO and other coalition party such as PBS and STAR, as to who would lead the State.

Also present during the event were BERSATU Sabah deputy Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, and Sabah Bersatu secretary Datuk Seri Ronald Kiandee, among many other local leaders.-BNN
