KOTA KINABALU: KLA Group founder Kristy Lau Kim Noi recently hosted a sharing session on “Modern Wealth Succession Planning”, helping participants better understand family wealth planning, estate distribution and the importance of passing wealth between generations.

Held at a local hotel, the event attracted more than 100 participants. The keynote speaker was Jayden Chen, a UK-trained barrister and estate planning and trust specialist. He was accompanied by Great Eastern Regional Agency Director Scott Wong.

Chen shared his legal knowledge and practical experience in wealth protection, asset distribution and succession planning for families and businesses. He also discussed family disputes, the benefits of planning early, key legal considerations and tools for distributing wealth.

An interactive session explored how appropriate succession arrangements can protect family wealth and help minimise disputes over estates.

In her speech, Lau said she aims to expand KLA Group, strengthen the team’s professional capabilities and develop insurance consultants and future leaders. She also said she was committed to helping families and business owners plan ahead so their assets could be passed on appropriately and their values of love and responsibility carried forward.
