KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor today received a farewell courtesy call from Sabah Police Commissioner CP Datuk Jauteh Dikun at Menara Kinabalu here.

Jauteh will retire on November 11 after serving more than 32 years in the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).

Hajiji expressed his appreciation for Jauteh’s dedicated service and contributions throughout his career in the police force, particularly in maintaining security and public order in Sabah.

The Chief Minister also expressed hope that the close ties and cooperation between the State Government and PDRM would continue to be strengthened to ensure the safety and well-being of the people of Sabah.

Meanwhile, Jauteh expressed his appreciation to the State Government under Hajiji’s leadership for its strong support in strengthening the infrastructure and logistics of the Sabah Police Contingent.

He said the State Government’s assistance, particularly in providing land sites, had enabled the commencement of construction of two new District Police Headquarters (IPD) in Kalabakan and Nabawan, with groundbreaking ceremonies held at both locations.

He said the State Government had also provided special assistance to upgrade 20 police beats across Sabah, helping to improve the force’s infrastructure and logistical facilities.

Jauteh said the close cooperation with the State Government had also helped PDRM address various security issues and expedite the provision of infrastructure and logistics to enhance the force’s capabilities in Sabah.

“I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of Sabah PDRM, to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister for the full support extended throughout my tenure as Sabah Police Commissioner,” he said.-pr/BNN
