KOTA KINABALU: Datuk Siringan Gubat the Minister of Resource Development and Information Technology Sabah died yesterday at the Gleneagles Hospital here.
The Minister who was also the Paginatan State Assemblyman, was 68 years old.
Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman in a statement to express his condolences said he was a good leader who was dedicated, committed and responsible in both his role as a cabinet member and minister.
“During his lifetime, he has helped a lot in strengthening our human capital development in terms of skills, training, and employment opportunities as well as further enhancing the development of our ICT sector across the State,” he said.
“In this respect, I on behalf of the State Government and also Sabah BN and families, express my condolences to the late Yang Berhomat’s family. We hope the grieving family will be strong during this sad time.”
Siringan’s remains is presently at the Fook Lu Siew Funeral Parlour. He will be taken back to his home Kg. Kinirasan, Ranau on March 23 (Friday) and will be interred on March 24 (Saturday).- BNN
