KUALA LUMPUR: “The solution to the current political impasse is to dissolve Parliament and let the people decide who they want as their government and Prime Minister” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, Member of Parliament for Keningau, Sabah, in a press statement released today.

Jeffrey said, ”Whatever temporary solution to resolve the current political situation is unlikely to satisfy all sides particularly the rakyat”.

However, let the interim solution be only to give way and to prepare for the ultimate solution.

For now, let the Yang DiPertuan Agong the space to do his work to decide who should be given the responsibility for this transition.

Whatever the solution, the inclusion of Sabah and Sarawak must be an important and integral part of the solution. It needs no reminder that Sabah and Sarawak are equal partners with Malaya in the formation of Malaysia and without them, there is no Malaysia, he stated.

For Sabahans and Sarawakians, the on-going political impasse has shown how important it is for them to elect Members of Parliament who truly look after the interests of their homelands and not who are tied to their parties especially non-local parties and those who are subservient to their political masters or their own self-interests,he said.-pr/BNN
