KOTA KINABALU: The Association of Wives of State Assemblymen (MUTIARA GRS) seeks to establish strategic partnerships with like-minded organisations to expand initiatives that deliver direct benefits to the community.

Datin Seri Panglima Datuk Hajah Juliah Salag, the wife of the Chief Minister and President of MUTIARA GRS, called on all members to double their efforts in this direction and dedicate time and commitment to the association’s programmes.

Speaking at the opening of the 5th MUTIARA GRS Annual General Meeting at Rumah MUTIARA GRS near here, on Saturday, she emphasised the importance of active participation.

“To further enhance our charity and community programmes this year, I urge all members to be more proactive and deeply involved in activities, particularly within their respective areas

“I hope every member continues to work in unison to ensure our success and achieve the noble objectives for which MUTIARA GRS was established,” she said.

Juliah also encouraged members to contribute ideas focused on women’s empowerment, welfare programs, business skill development, and other relevant fields.

“I want our members to explore and propose activities that enhance their skills, knowledge, and overall well-being. We should plan self-development programs such as social etiquette training, health workshops, sports and recreation, digital literacy, and educational visits.

“Beyond strengthening our bonds, these initiatives provide meaningful opportunities for us to continue learning, building networks, and progressing together,” she added.

Concluding her address, she expressed hope that all planned initiatives for the year would be executed effectively and on schedule for the benefit of the people.

“Success requires unity and collective support. Without consensus and hard work from all parties, it is impossible for this association to function as an organisation capable of bringing meaningful change and prosperity to the community,” she said.-pr/BNN
