KUALA LUMPUR: Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), has announced an exciting collaboration with Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Running until 13 September 2026, the friendly neighbourhood hero will swing onto two Scoot aircraft — an Airbus A321neo and a Boeing 787 Dreamliner — allowing travellers to enjoy a movie-themed experience across short-, medium-, and long-haul flights. The aircraft will be adorned with decals and special headrest covers, and will feature music from Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Passengers can also look forward to receiving exclusive merchandise, such as a flight tag or a foldable eco-bag, as a gift with purchase onboard (terms and conditions apply).
The inaugural flights featuring the themed aircraft are scheduled for 30 June 2026, when the Boeing 787 Dreamliner will operate a flight to Tokyo (Haneda), followed by the Airbus A321neo’s flight to Chiang Mai on 1 July 2026. Afterwards, the two themed aircraft will be rostered on flights to select destinations within Australia, China, Japan, the Philippines, and Thailand. As part of regular operations, these aircraft may also serve other routes operated by their respective types. This means that passengers who have not specifically booked a flight on one of these routes might still find themselves onboard one of the exclusive themed aircraft, adding an element of surprise and delight to their Scoot journey.
For a fully immersive experience, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day with Scoot journey will commence at the check-in counters at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1, where Spider-Man installations will be set up for fans and travellers alike.
“We are delighted to partner with Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day, offering our customers a truly immersive and memorable travel experience. Beyond our ongoing commitment to delivering quality service and value, this collaboration exemplifies Scoot’s dedication to pushing boundaries and exploring innovative ways to delight our passengers,” said Calvin Chan, Chief Commercial Officer of Scoot.
The themed flights will be listed on Scoot’s website, mobile app, and WeChat Mini Program for booking. Flight schedules for the themed aircraft will be published on Scoot’s website and are subject to government and regulatory approvals, as well as potential changes.-pr/BNN
