KOTA KINABALU: Demonstrating its ongoing commitment to community welfare and healthcare, Maxim Kota Kinabalu took part in the Almacrest Blood Donation 2.0 campaign, which attracted more than 50 participants.

The initiative was run in collaboration with students from Almacrest International College, Maxim’s partner drivers and the company’s local management team.

As a major sponsor, Maxim encouraged young people to donate blood and help save lives.

The campaign aimed to bolster Malaysia’s healthcare system by maintaining an adequate and stable blood supply for hospitals and medical facilities nationwide.

Blood donations are vital for patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, emergency care and other life‑saving procedures.

As a single bag of donated blood can be separated into components that may help up to three people, every donation makes a valuable contribution to strengthening healthcare services and offering hope to those in need.

To thank donors, students who successfully gave blood received exclusive door gifts sponsored by Maxim, together with special e‑hailing promo codes redeemable against future rides.

The initiative sought not only to reward participants but also to raise awareness among younger generations about the importance of regular blood donation.

The campaign collected dozens of litres of blood from 55 student donors, together with contributions from Maxim’s partner drivers and staff, demonstrating a shared commitment to supporting the local healthcare system and ensuring a sufficient blood supply for patients.

“At Maxim, we believe corporate social responsibility goes beyond providing transport services. Supporting blood donation campaigns is one of the many ways we can contribute to society and make a meaningful difference. We are proud to collaborate with educational institutions and community partners to promote a culture of helping others, and we hope more people will join these life‑saving initiatives,” said Dennie Dimpat, Head of Maxim Kota Kinabalu.

Maxim remains committed to organising and participating in community programmes that deliver positive social impact.

Through its corporate social responsibility efforts across Malaysia, the company continues to support healthcare, education, environmental sustainability and community development while strengthening ties with local communities.

Maxim is an international e‑hailing service that began operations in Malaysia in 2019, with its first ride completed in Kuantan. The platform now operates nationwide, connecting communities across Peninsular and East Malaysia.
