SANDAKAN : Recently, the Special Officer to the Member of Parliament for Sandakan, Asrul Abdul Samat, together with the Community Leader Officer (UPPM) for Elopura, Henry Hamdan; the Sandakan Welfare Officer, Anshary; and the manager and team from the PERKESO Sandakan office carried out a welfare visit to the home of Daniel Abdul Gani, 44, at PPR Taman Mesra, Batu 4, Sandakan.
The visit found that Daniel began experiencing health problems in 2024 while working in Peninsular Malaysia.
He subsequently returned to Sandakan and now lives with his elder sister and brother, who are his primary carers.
During the visit, PERKESO confirmed that mobility-support equipment has been provided to Daniel to assist his daily movement.
PERKESO is also processing applications for additional appropriate assistance to ensure his welfare is safeguarded.
As a gesture of concern, the Office of the Member of Parliament for Sandakan together with UPPM Elopura presented a food hamper and financial aid to help ease his family’s daily expenses and medical costs.
The Office of the Member of Parliament for Sandakan remains committed to working with government agencies and relevant parties to ensure that those in need receive proper attention and assistance.
This approach reflects a continuing commitment to strengthen the social-welfare network regardless of background.
It is hoped that the assistance provided will help to alleviate Daniel’s and his family’s burden.-BNN
