KOTA KINABALU:Former Sabah UMNO leaders have nothing to do with
a news article and photo containing a letter which had been viraled in the social media alleged to be a secret letter from former Sabah UMNO chairman Datuk Hajiji Haji Noor.
In a press statement today Hajiji said the photo and article published by sabahpost.net and borneochanel.blogspot.com, was alleged to be secret letter from him.
He said he had no direct connection whatsoever to what had been accused and viraled in the social media.
He strongly denied the accusation and believed that it was a defamation meant to damage and smear his good name and reputation as Sulaman Assemblyman.
“I think there are certain parties with bad intention deliberately trying to associate my name and the name of Prime Minister, YAB Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, as well as Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM), to an alleged “Project IC”, he stated.
“I and my friends, former leaders of Sabah UMNO will continue to fight to ensure the rights and interests of Sabahans and Sabah continue to be safeguarded and secured in Malaysia.”
“I am now investigating this matter and has directed my lawyer to take legal action including suing the irresponsible parties for spreading the defamatory article, particularly the sabahpost.net and borneochanel.blogspot.com.”
“I hope social media practitioners will be more careful, ethical and responsible and void spreading such baseless and defamatory article because it is harmful for the people and community,” he stated.-pr/BNN
