KOTA KINABALU: Persatuan Syarikat Pengurusan Kelab Negeri Sabah brought cheers and joy to the residents of old folks’ homes and the underprivileged children and society during the Chinese New Year Charity Luncheon at Ewest Restaurant 永乐酒楼 at Luyang, Kota Kinabalu.
Among the homes and society that attended the luncheon were Sabah Cheshire Home and Services, Care Haven Home, Special Olympics Sabah, Sabah Thalassaemia Society, Anglican Retirement Kampong (The ARK) and The Hope Village retirement community in Tuaran.
Persatuan Syarikat Pengurusan Kelab Negeri Sabah donated a total of RM30,000 where each of the homes and centers received RM5,000 in aid of their needs. The mock cheque presentation to the old folks’ homes, Anglican Retirement Kampong (The ARK) and The Hope Village was made by the persatuan advisor Tan Sri Datuk David Chu Sui Kiong on behalf of the Persatuan Syarikat Pengurusan Kelab Negeri Sabah, received by The ARK Acting Warden Reverend Paul Lau and The Hope Village’s CEO Pastor Clarence Fu Tze Kong.
Tan Sri Datuk David Chu Sui Kiong on behalf of the Persatuan Syarikat Pengurusan Kelab Negeri Sabah, presented the mock cheque to The Hope Village’s CEO Pastor Clarence Fu Tze Kong.
While the mock cheque presentation to the Sabah Cheshire Home and Services and Care Haven Home was made by the persatuan committee Madam Monica Chang on behalf of the Persatuan Syarikat Pengurusan Kelab Negeri Sabah, received by Sabah Cheshire Home’s Manager Ms. Jennifer Liew and Care Haven Home’s representative Madam Annie Fung.
Special Olympics Sabah and Sabah Thalasaemia Society mock cheque presentation was carried out by Persatuan Syarikat Pengurusan Kelab Negeri Sabah’s committee Mr. Eddie Lee to Special Olympics Sabah’s Director Mr Ngo York Kong and Sabah Thalassaemia Society’s President Mr Francis Mujim.
Also present during the cheque presentation were Puan Sri Datin Irene Loo , Mr. Yap How Nam, Mr. Mervin Lu, Ms. Noberta Francis, Ms. Evelyn Lee, Ms. May Yong and Mr. Steven Chin, also representatives from Persatuan Syarikat Pengurusan Kelab Negeri Sabah.
The event started off with Lion Dance performances, followed by JellyNFrenz clown mingling around giving out balloon, Choy San giving out candies and live band performances by Foh Sang Singing Band. The joyful atmosphere of the lunch made the Chinese New Year Charity Luncheon a memorable event for all who spent a delightful afternoon dedicated to charity and solidarity towards the old folks and children in need.-pr/BNN
