Mega project in Putatan will boost economy-Arsit

KOTA KINABALU: A 250-acre mega mixed development will be carried out at Dumpil Bay Putatan along KK-Putatan-Lok Kawi Highway.
The Chairman of Setara Juara Sdn Bhd (SJSB), Datuk Arsit Bin Sedi in announcing this today stated that the project will consist of a mixed development of Tourism, Commercial, International 2nd Home, Hotels, Airbnb, Recreation, Theme Park as well as  a 100-Acre Shopping Mall cum Premier Outlets Square with an estimated gross development value of over RM 10 billion.
According to him, a 100 acres special Commercial Free Trade Zone (FTZ) within the same site has been applied and pending at a final stage of the approval by the Federal Government.
Within the FTZ, all consumption by locals and foreign visitors including food and beverage in the Shopping Mall and Premier Outlets Square including all Hotels and Airbnb within shall be Duty Free, he added.
“International tourists and visitors with foreign passports shall enjoy duty free goods to be delivered and dispatched at KK International Airport.”
“The various developments shall be launched and implemented independently in different phases and stages soon as the present pandemic situation is much improved.
Setara Juara Sdn Bhd is on a joint venture development with the land owner Syarikat Pembangunan Azam dan Galian Sdn Bhd and also closely associated with a China Government-owned company as it’s Main Contractor cum Co-developer, Arsit said adding that he is very confident of the viability and of the eventual success of the project.
The development  expect to help boost the local economy and to create employment and business openings and opportunities for the locals and international investors directly and some 6000 employment opportunities
Also present in the project briefing were two other executive directors Melvin Lee Ying and Rachel Lee Yan Yi.-BNN
