KOTA BELUD: The spirit of silaturahim (community bonding) was further strengthened through the Hari Raya Open House hosted by YB Datuk Fairuz Rendaan here, held in a lively atmosphere filled with warmth and camaraderie.
The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji bin Haji Noor, as the guest of honour. His attendance not only added prestige to the occasion but also reflected the state leadership’s commitment to engaging with people from all walks of life.
During the event, Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji took the opportunity to have a brief conversation with Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak, former Chief Minister of Sabah, exchanging views on several matters related to the state’s development and well-being.
Such informal interactions are seen as vital in bridging communication gaps while encouraging open dialogue and the sharing of ideas among leaders and the community.
Beyond being a festive celebration, events like this serve as an important platform to strengthen ties between leaders and the rakyat. The values of silaturahim fostered during such gatherings form a strong foundation for closer collaboration and more effective efforts in driving Sabah’s progress.
The programme also featured the distribution of duit raya to those in need, symbolising compassion and the spirit of sharing during the Syawal season.
With the spirit of “Working Together for Sabah,” efforts to تعزيز unity and cooperation among all parties are believed to remain key in building a more progressive and prosperous future for the state.
Also present at the event were several local leaders, including YB Datuk Ghulam Haidar Khan, YB Datuk Arsad Bistari, Datuk Japlin Akim, and Datuk Musbah Jamli.-pr/BNN
