KUALA LUMPUR:  Registration is now open for the Selangor Techsphere Summit 2026, a government-backed industrial technology platform scheduled from 14 to 17 October at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Hosted by the Selangor State Government and organised in collaboration with the Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre, the summit will unite manufacturers, technology firms, investors, policymakers, and researchers from Malaysia and across ASEAN.

Returning as a key part of the Selangor International Business Summit 2026, the Techsphere Summit aims to bolster the state’s position as a regional hub for advanced manufacturing, industrial innovation, and technology-driven investment.

Powered by HANNOVER MESSE, the world’s leading industrial technology platform, the four-day event will feature an industry conference, technology showcase, curated business meetings, and networking opportunities focused on the real-world application of artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, smart manufacturing, and digital technologies.

Dato’ Seri Amirudin Bin Shari, Chief Minister of Selangor, stated, “Selangor has established itself as one of Malaysia’s most significant industrial and investment destinations. As manufacturers adapt to rapid technological, sustainability, and global supply chain developments, it is vital for government and industry to collaborate to foster continued innovation and growth.

“The Techsphere Summit offers a platform for businesses to access new ideas, technologies, and partnerships, contributing to the next phase of Selangor’s industrial development.”

Manufacturers across Malaysia and ASEAN face increasing pressure to boost productivity, modernise operations, enhance resilience, and tackle sustainability and workforce issues.

The Summit will explore how technologies such as AI, automation, robotics, and smart manufacturing can be applied across industrial operations. It will also focus on semiconductor manufacturing, energy efficiency, workforce development, investment, and regional industrial growth.

Two distinguished speakers confirmed for the event include Alex Capri, a former US Treasury official and renowned expert on geopolitics and Techno-nationalism, who will deliver the opening keynote, and Jacob Lee Chor Kok, President of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing, who will give the opening address on the second day.

Industry representatives, technology providers, government officials, investors, researchers, and specialists will share practical insights on the challenges and opportunities shaping the region’s industrial future.

Mike Nissen, Senior Commercial Director at Hannover Fairs Asia-Pacific, commented, “Industrial transformation is about more than adopting individual technologies; it requires aligning technology, people, investment, and strategy.

“Supported by the Selangor State Government and HANNOVER MESSE’s global network, the Techsphere Summit will connect regional industry leaders with real-world expertise, proven solutions, and potential partners to support their transformation journey.”

Over four days, the summit will focus on key themes shaping the future of industry, with each day dedicated to a specific business and operational priority.-pr/BNN
