KOTA KINABALU: The 2nd UCSF Entrepreneurship Carnival 2022 was recently held in University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF).
The program was a collaborative program between Faculty of Management & Entrepreneurship (FME) and Students Affairs Department (SAD).
Entrepreneurship can be defined as the willingness to take risks and develop, organise and manage business venture in a competitive global marketplace that is constantly evolving. To expose students with some basic entrepreneurial skill or experience, the carnival was organized.
The Vice Chancellor of UCSF, Dr Rafiq Idris said, ‘in addition to the effort of producing students which are green literate, the university is also at the same time aims to produce students who are financially and digitally literate.’
The Dean of Faculty of Management and Entrepreneurship explained that the faculty from time to time will try to assist students to enhance their entrepreneurship skills. Meantime the Director of the event, Dr Amy Faizah Nain highlights that the purpose of this carnival is to provide some practical experience and explore new venture opportunities of business as well as developing a realistic business plan. The carnival has 3 main activities which are [1] Booth Sales from students [2] E-Sport competition (Mobile Legend) and [3] Blood Donation among others, she added.-pr/BNN
