Damalee treats Mawis orphans

KOTA KINABALU: Forty-four orphans from the Madrasah Waqaf Islamiah Sabah (Mawis) Tanjung Aru home gets a special breaking of fast treat from the Damalee Group at its business premises in Plaza Kingfisher, Kota Kinabalu, Friday.

Dr Nadiah Mohd Nazri  Chief Executive Officer of Damalee Signatures, one of the businesses under the group, said it is part of the annual activities under corporate social resposibility (CSR) to “give back” to the community, since its establishment about four years ago.

Apart from hosting such breaking of fast event for the needy during Ramadhan, Damalee had also helped such needy children in Ranau enrolled  into school.

“This is part of the Damalee Group annual activities …when we made a bit of profit, we gives some back to the community,” said Dr Nadiah.

The Damalee Group operates a boutique specialising in Muslim and Muslimah wears, a wedding house, a gym centre and a photography studio businesses, and has branches in Brunei Darussalam and Singapore.-pr/BNN
