Political stability important for the success of state and people development agendas

KOTA MARUDU: As a new political platform in Sabah, Sabah BERSATU opens up room for all indigenous people in Sabah to join and play an active role in the party, said Sabah BERSATU Chief Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor.

He said, thus far, Sabah BERSATU has been officially formed in all 25 parliamentary constituencies of Sabah including Kota Marudu Division which is led by Datuk Wetrom Bahanda as the Division Chief.

“While Sabah BERSATU has set up 517 branches at protem level and presently waiting for official approval from the Registrar of Societies (ROS) which is expected to be recieved soon.

“In that regard, membership application can be made either through the division leadership, branch protem committee or directly online via the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU) website,” he said.

He said this in conjunction with the Sabah BERSATU Leadership’s Jelajah Programme at Kota Marudu Division-level here, yesterday.

Meanwhile, Sabah BERSATU invites the people to understand that the focus and priority of the day is to ensure the development of Sabah and the people’s wellbeing can continue to be upped under the leadership of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) Government.

Hajiji, who is also Sulaman Assemblyman, said the 14th General Election (GE) has passed and majority of the people have decided to make a change. What should become the priority and focus during post GE are development of the state and the people.

“While, the success of development agenda would depend on the political landscape and environment.

“On that reason, political stability is very important and become the core to how far we have successfully implement the state and people development agenda.

“The state and people orientated government policies and programmes will not be able to go smoothly if there is no political stability,” he stressed.

At the same time, he said, political stability, among others, is relying on our readiness and openness to have a political collaboration and also strengthen the people’s unity.

“With this in mind, and for the people’s interests, Sabah BERSATU is always opened to strengthen the political collaboration with all parties, especially all components of the PH-Warisan Government in Sabah.

“Sabah BERSATU will always take part in making success of the policies and programmes for the interests of the whole state and people,” he stressed.-pr/BNN
